BLOOMINGTON – Bedford North Lawrence’s girls track season ended during the IHSAA regional at Bloomington North on Tuesday night.
The Stars had five individuals and a relay team qualify from the sectional, but no one advanced to the state finals. The top three in each event qualified for the state meet at Indiana University on June 1.
“This was a great experience for these young kids,” BNL coach Jim Lewis said.
BNL’s 3200 relay team of Autumn Spence, Makena Moore, Grace Tanksley and Myra Roberts (seeded 13th prior to the meet) finished 8th in 10:52.42.
Jillian Webb, the sectional champion in the 400-meter dash, was 8th in 1:01.76.
Other competitors for BNL included Moore (15th in the 800 in 2:39.62), Spence (13th in the 1600 in 5:53.23), Lindsey Steel (14th in the 200 in 28.07) and Molly Lambrecht (11th in the shot put at 34-7 1/2).
