BNL’s Allen, Webb named to All-HHC First Team

BNL’s Jorie Allen was named to the All-HHC First Team by the league coaches.

BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence’s Jorie Allen and Madison Webb were named to the All-Hoosier Hills Conference First Team by the league coaches.

Allen, who received the most votes, averaged 18.1 points and 8.0 rebounds while leading the Stars to a 23-6 record, a share of the HHC title and an eighth consecutive Class 4A sectional championship during her senior campaign.

Webb, a junior center, contributed 9.3 points and 7.0 rebounds overall, but she was at her best in the postseason as she averaged 14.4 points in five tournament games.

The rest of the First Team included Jeffersonville’s Nan Garcia and Tori Handley (who led the Red Devils to a share of the conference title), Jennings County’s Addyson Kent and Callie Wilder, Columbus East’s Koryn Greiwe, Madison’s Jade Nutley, Seymour’s Makenna Fee and New Albany’s Alayasia Douglas.

BNL’s Chloe McKnight was named to the Honorable Mention unit after a averaging 9.0 points and 3.3 rebounds during her sophomore season.

Others on the HM team included Floyd Central’s Lindsey Dorsch and Sophia Gianfagna, Seymour’s Ashton Chase and Grace Meyer, Jennings County’s Kylee Matern, Madison’s Paige Young, Columbus East’s Claire Cummingham, New Albany’s Ally Willis and Jeffersonville’s Kiersten Poor.

BNL also nominated senior point guard Jacy Hughes.
