Bailey, Ray named All-HHC

BNL’s Brayton Bailey was named All-HHC by the league coaches.

BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence’s Brayton Bailey and McCall Ray were named First Team All-Hoosier Hills Conference by the league coaches.

Bailey, a junior guard, averaged team highs of 18.9 points and 6.7 rebounds as the Stars finished with a 13-10 record. Ray, a senior guard who will walk on for football at Indiana University, contributed 11.9 points.

BNL’s McCall Ray was named First Team after averaging 11.9 points.

Jeffersonville, which won the Class 4A sectional title, had two on the First Team with junior forward Tre Coleman and senior point guard Jacob Jones.

The rest of the All-HHC team included Floyd Central’s Cobie Barnes and Jake Heidbreder, New Albany’s Derrick Steveson and Julien Hunter, Madison’s Cooper Yancey and Columbus East’s Matthew Frost.

BNL senior Jathan Ritter was named Honorable Mention. Ritter averaged 13.1 points.
