BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence’s Jorie Allen was named to the Supreme 15 All-State team by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
Allen, an Indiana University recruit and one of the leading candidates for Miss Basketball, averaged 18.1 points and 8.0 rebounds while leading the Stars to a 23-6 record and an eighth consecutive sectional championship. She also finished as the school’s career scoring leader with 1,930 points.
Joining Allen on the Supreme Team were Bloomington South’s Addy Blackwell, Tipton’s Cassidy Crawford, Central Noble’s Sydney Freeman, Fort Wayne Concordia’s Carissa Garcia, Hamilton Southeastern’s Amaya Hamilton, North Harrison’s Lilly Hatton, Western Boone’s Madison Jones, Northridge’s Morgan Litwiller, Marquette Cathoilic’s Emma Nolan and Sophia Nolan, Michigan City’s Hannah Noveroske, Castle’s Jessica Nunge, LaPorte’s Riley Ott and New Castle’s Cameron Tabor.
North Central’s Rikki Harris, Warren Central’s Sheila Beeler and Center Grove’s Emma Utterback were among those named to the Large School All-State squad.
Jeffersonvile’s Nan Garcia was named to the Underclass Supreme 15.
BNL’s Madison Webb was selected as Honorable Mention for the Underclass All-State team.
